The Role

Baxter View is a purpose build facility in Dumbarton where we provide support to eight individuals with complex support needs to live in their own flats. This is a varied role, so if you're looking for a job where no two days are the same, this could be right up your street!

As a Support Practitioner, you'll support the individuals with all aspects of daily living, including cooking, support to activities and appointments, managing personal finances, assisting with medication and personal care.

We'll also need you to take an active interest in their hobbies and interests which include exploring new locations, going for walks, listening to music and arts & crafts. With your guidance and support, you'll help the people we support to maintain their own homes and be an active member of their local community.
About You

You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and we'll give you all the training you'll need if you're successful. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too!
What we will need you to bring: -;

A caring and compassionate attitude
The ability to work well in a team
Confidence to go in the water as swimming is a regular activity
Good communication and organisational skills
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
The ability to carry out basic cooking
It would be great if you also have:-

A full, clean driving license as some of the people we support have their own mobility cars and enjoy going out for drives.
Shift Patterns

Typically, shift patterns will fall between the hours of 0800-2200 hours, but can vary on occasion if the individuals we support have events planned that they'd like to attend. Weekends, public holidays and occasional waking nights will also form part of your rota on a rotational basis. However, we appreciate the importance of a work life balance and offer flexibility where we can.
