This post offers an exciting opportunity for a Band 4 Assistant Psychologist to join two of the OPD pathway projects in Lancashire: Edith Rigby House (ERH) Psychologically Informed Planned Environment (PIPE) Approved Premise (AP) in Preston, and the Mentalization Based Therapy (MBT) Service, as a split role.



Offender Personality Disorder Services (OPDS) are part of Forensic Community Services within the Specialist Services Network in Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT). OPDS are delivered in partnership with His Majesty’s Prison and Probation
Service (HMPPS) and provide support to prison and probation teams.


Within Edith Rigby House, the Assistant Psychologist will contribute to the delivery of structured groups within the AP and support the Clinical Lead with the formulation of residents’ needs. Data collection and report-writing skills may be utilized in both clinical and service-development contexts including evidence for RCPsych Enabling Environments (EE)
award.


The Assistant Psychologist will also contribute to the recruitment and assessment of individuals for the MBT programme under the supervision of the Lead Therapist.
Administration of psychometric assessments and collating information from a range of sources will be central to this role.
The successful candidate should ideally have some previous experience in role as an Assistant Psychologist.
