Role purpose / summary

The CESA Futures Programme, currently in Discovery, will modernise the existing CESA application through the creation of new capabilities or the transfer of additional functionality to other existing systems.

One of the CESA system components in scope is the rules engine, known as GovRules, which validates Self-Assessment returns and performs calculations on the tax due. Two timeboxed Technical Sprints are being undertaken for the GovRules application, developed using the .NET Framework 1.0, to determine how best to integrate it within the CESA Futures capability.

An experienced DROOLS developer, who also understands how to implement this within a Kogito service, is required to support the Technical Sprint focused on creating a subset of GovRules business rules in a DROOLS/Kogito rules engine. The role requires the assessment/evaluation of the modelling approaches - DROOLS Rule Language (DRL), Business Process Model & Notation (BPMN), and Decision Model and Notation (DMN).

The role is also to support the testing of the existing/converted GovRules applications to understand the overall outcome of the Technical Sprint.

Optional Skills:
a. BPMN
b. DMN
