This is an exciting time for the Trauma and Orthopaedics Clinical Nurse Specialist and Specialty Support Nurse Team at CUH as we have a new Band 6 post providing an opportunity for the right candidate to come and join us!

Our dynamic, motivated team of specialist nurses work across both inpatient and outpatient settings. Providing the highest standards of evidence based care within our trauma and elective services including the Cambridge Movement Surgical Hub.

We aim to provide ongoing professional development and are proud of our in-house and local university education opportunities associated with this role. This clinically based role requires you to complete the Level 7 Advanced Clinical Assessment Skills university module with support from the Trust.

This is a diverse role which gives us the opportunity to provide regular patient reviews with medical colleagues. We deliver support and training and are a resource for both patients and staff including the wider MDT. We are responsible for managing the discharge advice line to triage and address patient concerns. We also facilitate teaching to patients in hip and knee classes and provide drop in sessions and bootcamps for staff of all bands to enhance their existing knowledge and clinical skills.

We facilitate nurse led virtual follow-ups for arthroplasty patients and participate in speciality clinics including the multi-professional virtual fracture clinic.

This is an exciting and varied role for the right candidate. Ae are looking for a self- motivated nurse with experience in Trauma and Orthopaedics who is keen to expand their knowledge and skills.
