Summary
As Cafe supervisor you will be supporting the Visitor Experience team to provide leadership and management to all our café team. Demonstrate a commitment to delivering the highest standards of customer service within the Café. You are at the front line of the customer experience; you are required to ensure that the needs of the customer and clients are fully met. We ask you lead by example and provide support and mentoring to the team and encourage a friendly positive working environment.
Responsibilities will include:
Supporting the VE Manager in supervision, development and support of staff, particularly in areas of food hygiene, customer service and health and safety;
Opening & closing
Food and drink preparation.
Provide a great experience & customer service to every customer
Maintain excellent product knowledge
Take ownership of tasks, setting a good example for the rest of the team
Maintain excellent housekeeping standards throughout the café including external & back of house areas.
Adhere to all operational practices & procedures, ie stock deliveries, health & safety standards, stock takes & replenishment
Essential skills & experience
A minimum of two years’ experience within a café/hospitality role
A minimum of one year experience supervising a team
Barista trained
Cash handling skills
Ability to work under pressure
Bring enthusiasm and energy to the business
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Excellent customer care skills
Develop great working relationships with your fellow team members
Standards in work and appearance.
Dependable with good timekeeping
Multi-tasking skills, ability to adapt from one to the other
Weekend work is essential
Working week Tuesday -Saturday (closed Sunday & Monday)
