Title Clinical Lead , Primary Care at Scale Salary Clinical Lead rate £115 000 Pro rata Base PCS Headquarters Working pattern 36 hours , 18 hours Clinical and 18 hours Leadership Responsible to Medical Director PCS Professionally Accountable to Medical Director or Responsible Officer The Role Primary Care Sheffield is a GP led company set up and developed by general practice in Sheffield to provide support in delivering world class primary care. We do this by supporting practices and by working at scale when it makes sense. General practice working at scale through PCS enables us to Improve the quality of GP referrals into secondary care with the provision of education, support and referral guidance to practices across ten outpatient specialities. Deliver and develop elective care pathways in Primary Care Deliver enhanced access on behalf of GP networks for those who are opted in Deliver same day urgent care, home visiting services and acute respiratory illness hubs Deliver the CMDU service for the ICB footprint Provide additional roles in to networks currently in the form of first contact physiotherapy Provide sexual health and gynae services to the city Operate 24hr ECG and vasectomy clinics and the NHS Healthchecks programme for the city Deliver core general practice through the PCS Practices Work in partnership with SHSC and Sheffield Mind to provide Primary and Community Mental Health Services to the City Our values are central to the way that we deliver our services and work together within PCS and with our partners. Job Purpose The jobs purpose is to provide clinical leadership to PCS At Scale services alongside clinically steering the strategic development of our elective services including service redesign and working in partnership with other provider organisations to develop further community services to improve access and experience for residents of Sheffield Work alongside the Clinical Quality Manager to ensure clinical quality and safety including the development of clinical protocols, reporting and audit completion and significant events analysis to support service improvement Share, with the Director of Operations, senior leadership and operational management responsibility for all aspects of service performance, delivery and development within the Group. Share responsibility with the Service Leads for achieving high standards of clinical governance, high operational performance in line with clinical protocols to improve productivity of our clinical teams. Be responsible for the culture of the teams, developing a learning environment and a climate which fosters clear lines of responsibility and accountability, and effective multi disciplinary working. Ensure all clinical staff are working to their professional standards and these standards are continually promoted to staff Develop genuine partnerships with service users and carers or families and other statutory and non statutory organisations or groups as required Working alongside the Primary Care at Scale managerial teams, and closely with the Director of Operations and Medical Director, identify and lead opportunities for the development of new services, in line with the PCS strategic and business plan priorities. Develop relationships with other provider organisations and the CASES team to look at service redesign and be instrumental in identifying and implementing change to ensure services are delivered in a safe and effective way and for the benefit of our populations. Ensure that all new services are developed with appropriate clinical and managerial support and infrastructure and are compliant with all performance and clinical standards and policies, including those set
