The Role:
You will be supporting individuals within the community with their daily needs.
Support Workers are responsible for ensuring the service users we support receive a high standard of care in line with our Client’s Policies and Procedures. The role includes the duties below:
· Provide an exceptional level of person-centred support to individuals in the community
· Assist with Medication Administration
· Lone working and working within a team
· Personal Care i.e. washing, dressing and continence care
· Light domestic duties such as assisting with cooking and cleaning
· Support individuals to integrate within their community such as attending social and leisure activities
· Ensure any issues relating to a service user’s health and wellbeing are reported to the relevant manager
Requirements:
· Right to Work In the UK
· At least six months experience working as a support worker (Preferably supporting individuals with Autism and Learning Disabilities)
· The ability to provide two professional references, one of which must be your most recent employer
· Experience with Moving and Handling and Personal Care
· Willing to become a PVG Member
· Willing to become a member of the SSSC within six months of employment with Caledonia Healthcare
· Ability to complete all online and face-to-face training
· You must be caring and compassionate with a true passion for supporting others.
