We have a vacancy in our service in Omagh for a part time 21 hours floating support worker.
As a Support Worker with Leonard Cheshire you’ll provide a high level of care and support to people in their own homes, enabling them to live the life they choose. The job involves visiting clients in the community, within safety guidelines, offering a person-centred approach to encourage clients to maintain maximum independence, considering their physical and emotional condition, as well as their current skills, personal choices & mobility. We aim to give our clients a more fulfilling life by supporting them with their housing , benefits, education and social contact needs as well as practical help with addictions and mental health issues.
Experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant or Healthcare Assistant is desirable but not essential as we offer an excellent training and induction programme to get you fully trained in your new role! You must be compassionate, creative and love working with people and able to travel to cover work allocated on the rota.

A night enhancement of £1.00 per hour will apply from 8pm to 7am Monday – Thursday (this does not apply to sleep-ins). A weekend enhancement of £1.00 per hour will be paid from 8pm Friday to 7am Monday (this does not apply to sleep-ins).
