The University is inviting applications for the post of Sports Coach in Badminton.

Working with the Director of Sport, the Students’ Union and key sports staff, the role will provide leadership for the specified sports to drive the development of a high-performance sport culture at the University.

The appointee will be expected to take training, select the squad and oversee match day preparation and performance across the course of the season. Goals will be set in conjunction with the Director of Sport and sports facilities line management. This role will require a 4 hours per week; evening working and the ability to travel to fixtures with the team will be expected.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the university as we deliver a new sports strategy. It is essential that the individual is appropriately qualified with a minimum of an up-to-date Level 2 coaching award as well as having experience of coaching in a performance sport environment. You will also have First Aid, Safeguarding and Equity Qualifications as well as evidence of continuing professional development. The ability to influence and inspire others, set and maintain high standards and having excellent communication skills are core requirements of the post.
