Location: City Centre

This is a leadership role with responsibility for the largest Local Government budget in Scotland, ensuring the Council’s financial stability and resilience for the short and longer term and our strategic plan goal of having a fair and sustainable city where everyone gets to contribute, and all can benefit from a flourishing Glasgow.
It’s a diverse portfolio that includes Corporate Finance, Audit & Inspection, Assessors & Electoral Registration Office, Strathclyde Pension Fund and a range of front line and back-office support services that will see you lead a workforce of approx. 4,000 employees.
The role will suit a dynamic leader with a relevant professional qualification and a proven track record of financial management planning, and of leading several multi-disciplinary teams in a large complex public sector organisation to achieve its statutory obligations and ensure its financial stability.
