The data quality administrator is responsible for observing, auditing, validating, amending and improving data quality in relation to computerised patient records. Good observational and communication skills alongside well developed IT skills are essential for this post along with the ability to analyse data issues and feedback on problems and solutions.

Ideally you should have previous experience or knowledge of working to tight deadlines and delivering to high performance standards. Knowledge of the Epic system would be advantageous but is not essential as full training will be given.

Good data quality is essential to help the Trust ensure there is complete, accurate, timely and dependable information available on the electronic medical record so the clinical staff can be best informed to make the decisions in order to care for the patients attending our hospitals, as well as for corporate information requirements.

The role of data quality administrator will have a keen eye for detail and be responsible for observing, auditing and improving data quality across the Trust. Increasing the profile of data quality standards within the Trust and working with services to ensure quality and consistently recorded data is available throughout the different areas.
