Job Title : Advice Worker (Welfare benefits adviser)
Team : Our Way Leeds
Responsible to : Senior Advice Worker
Hours : 37
Salary : Scale 5 point 15 £27,178
Benefits : Employee health plan and company pension scheme, cycle to work scheme, flexible working.
Location : Archway Resource Centre
Leave : Starting at 29 days annual leave per annum, rising incrementally to 33 days annual leave at 5 years service.
We are looking for a welfare benefits adviser to join our small but experienced advice team to provide benefits advice and assistance to young people receiving support through Our Way Leeds.
The role requires excellent attention to detail, exceptional organisation and communication skills and the ability to accurately maintain comprehensive case notes.
This role is part of Young People’s Housing Related Support Service Our Way Leeds (OWL), delivered by a consortia of service providers. The consortia have GIPSIL as the lead provider alongside Foundation & Turning Lives Around. OWL provides a wide range of interventions to prevent homelessness, four types of supported housing and pre and post-tenancy support schemes for young people & young people leaving care including unaccompanied asylum seeker children. Young people can be single, young families or couples.
