Summary

Job title: Cardiac Nurse (Cathlab) Salary: Up to £41,282.02 per annum Hours: Monday-Sunday, 36 hours a week + on call Location: Mobile team - covering sites across the UK This role is aimed at a Registered Nurse, specialising or with a desire to specialise in cardiac services to: Work alongside a team of Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and wider MDT in the delivery of high-quality care and patient-focused services to patients undergoing cardiac procedures in the Cardiac Unit Provide nursing provision that is delivered at the highest standards of quality, efficiency and safety. What you will do: As a Cardiac Nurse at InHealth, you will be demonstrating safe and effective nursing practices which are research based and in compliance with company and departmental policies and procedures. You will act, at all times in accordance with the NMCs code of professional conduct, and provide clinical expertise for the day to day operations of the Cardiac Unit. What you are responsible for: Scrubbing and running for a variety of cardiac procedures to maintain a high level of clinical and technical skill Working as part of the team providing 24/7 primary PCI service via an on-call rota (once competent) Ensuring all necessary consumables, equipment and pharmacy is accurately and safely prepared prior to the commencement of each clinical procedure Delivering safe and appropriate patient care Ensuring due regard is given to the customs, values and spiritual beliefs of patients and to ensure patients views are sought and taken into account in the decision-making process Undertaking and recording accurate documentation in the patient care plan Ensuring you are fully conversant with fire procedures, emergency procedures and transfer policies Ensuring a consistent approach to nursing practice, adhering to Health and Safety and Information Governance policies Following the requirements of the Data Protection Act (1984) and GDPR, ensuring that confidentiality of information regarding staff and patients is maintained at all times Deputising for your Senior Nurse ensuring monthly audit is completed and submitted to the Lead Cardiac Nurse within the deadline (where required). The skills of an effective Registered Nurse who is supportive of the wider team, reliable and trustworthy A passion for patient care Sound computer literacy with accurate data entry skills and attention to detail Report and audit writing skills Use of advanced clinical skills in emergency situations A keen interest in Cardiology. You should apply if you have experience: As a Registered Nurse (RGN) Level 1 or equivalent (Adaptation course) ENB 998 or equivalent Working in the Catheter Laboratory environment (desirable but not essential) Of BLS as a minimum with a desire to be ILS competent Using Microsoft packages and other IT systems proving competent with computer literacy skills.
