**Position Title:** Forklift Operator
**Department:** Warehouse/Logistics
**Reports To:** Warehouse Supervisor/Manager
**Location:** DA1 5FD

**Job Summary:**
The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating and managing industrial trucks to load and unload goods and deliveries, moving them to and from storage areas. The operator ensures the safe and efficient operation of the forklift and complies with all safety protocols
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Goods Handling:** Safely load, unload, and move Goods within the warehouse or production area using a forklift.
- **Inventory Management:** Place goods in designated areas and assist in the inventory process by accurately scanning and tagging items.
- **Order Fulfilment:** Retrieve and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the process.
- **Safety Compliance:** Follow all company safety protocols, including wearing proper protective equipment and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- **Equipment Maintenance:** Conduct routine checks and maintenance on the forklift, reporting any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor.
- **Documentation:** Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and complete all required paperwork for shipping and receiving.
- **Team Collaboration:** Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations and assist with other tasks as needed.
**Qualifications:**
- **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or similar environment.
- **Certification:** Valid forklift operator certification
- **Skills:**
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift objects
- Basic math skills for inventory management.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to operate a forklift for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects.
- Standing, walking, bending, and lifting as part of daily operations.
