The Opportunity
The local Sport England Place Based partnership (SEPP) seeks a highly motivated and experienced professional to fill the position of local Physical Wellbeing Coordinator in Castle Point. This pivotal role is responsible for leading the development and implementation of a strategic plan with measurable targets to address physical inactivity within socio-economic areas. The role will work collaboratively across a network of key stakeholders, including the local (SEPP) stakeholders, Active Essex and wider (SEPP) across Essex.
Accountabilities
· To deliver a clear work programme and targets within the overall requirements set by the local Sport England Place Based partnership (SEPP) and Active Essex.
· Although employed by Castle Point Borough Council (CPBC) the role is accountable to both Active Essex and CPBC.
· To directly network and link with the local (SEPP) stakeholders, and wider local Wellbeing Ambassadors, Social Prescribers, Find your Active Coordinators, Voluntary Sectors, School Sports Partnerships, Public Health Improvement Officers, the local Health and Wellbeing Board, and the local authority sports, leisure, and public health functions.
· To build strong relationships and working partnerships with a wide range of local partners and stakeholders who are existing or potential system actors in promoting and increasing physical activity.
· To contribute to the planning and implementation of whole system change.
· To continually map current provision of relevant physical activity provision across the district.
· To gain a thorough knowledge of the community assets in the target areas and build productive working relationships.
· To contribute to the capacity building and training of the voluntary and community sector.
· To develop an understanding of the barriers that inhibit physical activity.
· To identify opportunities and innovative solutions for developing physical activity and to provide support to make this happen.
· To identify and promote new funding opportunities.
· To support broader marketing and communication efforts to maximise exposure of the (SEPP).
· To promote and communicate information and good practice about the (SEPP).

· Experience of working with a broad range of individuals and stakeholder organisations at different levels
· Experience and evidence of involvement in community engagement and development
· Experience developing programmes designed to increase physical activity levels
· Experience of working within a public sector environment
