We are looking for lovely, enthusiastic and motivated Band 2 support worker to join our team at Evelina London Children Hospital. We welcome applicants with an interest in supporting our team and the parent of Savannah Surgery and orthopaedics.

Savannah surgery is fast pacing ward caring for patients under the care of general surgery, spinal and orthopaedic children.

The main duties of this role will be to provide support to nursing staff, patients and their families ensuring the safety of the ward environment is upheld.

Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust comprises five of the UK’s best known hospitals – Guy’s, St Thomas’, Evelina London Children’s Hospital, Royal Brompton and Harefield – as well as community services in Lambeth and Southwark, all with a long history of high quality care, clinical excellence, research and innovation.

We are among the UK’s busiest, most successful foundation trusts. We provide specialist care for patients including heart and lung, cancer and renal services as well as a full range of local hospital and community services for people in Lambeth and Southwark.

We have a long tradition of clinical and scientific achievement and – as part of King’s Health Partners – we are one of England’s eight academic health sciences centres, bringing together world-class clinical services, teaching and research. We have one of the National Institute for Health Research’s biomedical research centres, established with King’s College London in 2007, as well as dedicated clinical research facilities.

We strive to recruit and retain staff who are motivated to develop and learn with us as we continually strive to ensure that our services are of the highest quality, safe, and focused on women, children and their families.

Speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate a flexible working arrangement whether that’s job share, part time hours or another flexible pattern. If it works for the service, we will do our best to make it work for you.

To provide a full range of support functions in a ward environment. This will include undertaking clerical duties, maintaining the ward environment and ordering stock.

Ensuring the safety and well being of services users, and always working in a manner that promotes dignity and human rights through the adoption of person centred care principles.
