An exciting opportunity has become available for a full-time Band 7 practitioner (qualified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and supervision) to join the CAMHS Getting Help Team, based inRoyal BoroughofWindsor and Maidenhead (RBWM).

The Getting Help team provide assessments and short-term, evidence-based therapeutic interventions to young people inWindsor, Ascot, and Maidenheadwith mild to moderate mental health needs. Clinicians working for the Getting Help service will promote the emotional wellbeing and mental health of young people in the community. They will offer advice, information and support to young people and families, and consultation and training to professionals, asappropriate. You may provide outreach support to promote engagement, where needed.


You will lead the Getting Help team and work closely with yourRBWMMental Health Support Teams (MHST) colleagues and theRBWMMHST/Getting Help Team Lead to provide mental health consultation and advice to partner agencies, including theRBWMEarly Help team, and CAMHS pathways.


This is a unique opportunity to be part of and contribute to a creative, supportive, and innovative service. This is an important post at the interface with partner agencies and specialist CAMHS.

• Clinical assessmentsfor young people up to the age of 18 years, presenting with mild to moderate mental health problems

• Short-term, evidence-based therapeutic interventions (individual, group, family, asappropriate)

• To offer training,consultationand supervision to external agencies with regards to the mental health presentation of children and young people who are accessing the MHST.

• Ensuring liaison and joint working between the Getting Help / MHST and the locality Early Help Hub and specialist CAMHS services.

• Use of routine outcome measures to promote active participation from young people and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
