Company
Freeman Country Inns was incorporated in April 2017 with the specific aim of acquiring the lease to the Star Inn of Geddington. It is the intention of the Company to return the Star to its position at the Heart of the Village with a far reaching reputation as a pub and restaurant of quality and reliability.
Emloyees of the Company will be required to promote the safe, honest and friendly atmosphere of the Public House. The highest standards of safety, hygiene and the promotion of the 4 licensing objectives will be a core part of each and every role.
1. The Prevention of Crime and Disorder;
2. Public Safety;
3. Prevention of Public Nuisance; and
4. The Protection of Children from Harm
Main functions of position:
To serve drinks within the Public House and ensure the bar, trade areas and cellar are clean and safe. More specifically the Job Holder will:
• promote and maintain the 4 licensing objectives
• ensure that customers are served promptly & courteously, in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and Policies,
• ensure that, at all times, practices are in line with hygiene and safety regulations.
• ensure that all customers who visit or contact the Public House or use the facilities have their expectations met and exceeded;
• work as part of the wider Public House team
• promote a positive image of the Public House at all times.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Operational Service
• To maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and presentation.
• Execute the service of beverages within the bar and restaurant
• Execute food service within the bar and restaurant areas as required
• Perform sales transactions in accordance with Company Procedures
• Alert Management team to issues of safety and security
• Ensure that all purchases are completed within Company Procedures
• Carry out any other reasonable request asked by the Bar and Function Manager
• Ensure the bar areas are clean and safe at all times.
• To promote the Public House and its facilities to all prospective guests or customers to maximise sales and revenue
• To remain alert and vigilant at all times.
• To be prompt and on time
• Report and where possible take action in any incidents of complaint, accident, fire, loss or damage
