Job Summary
This industry-leading asset manager is seeking an Equity Investment Risk Analyst who will oversee investment risk management for equity funds, as well as support multi-asset funds. The role involves detailed analysis, surveillance, and collaboration with the Portfolio Management and Trading team. The analyst will be positioned within the second line of defence but working closely with Portfolio Managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth risk analysis of investment portfolios and collaborating with managers to address potential issues.
- Critically assess a range of investment risks, gather and analyse data, and produce accurate risk analytics.
- Develop knowledge of financial markets and investment themes.
- Contribute to global risk management initiatives and enhance regional risk governance.
- Support team members by teaching technical skills and business acumen.
- Present clear and insightful analysis to senior leaders and traders.
- Lead and participate in special projects.
Qualifications - Degree or equivalent experience; advanced degrees or certifications (CFA, FRM) preferred.
- Experience in an investment risk role, ideally equities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of investment management, particularly in equity and multi-asset funds.
- Demonstrable experience with programming languages (Python, R), and experience with platforms such as BarraOne and Axioma is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships
