Location: South Woodham Ferrers
Working Style: Fixed-base worker

If so, we're currently recruiting for a Recycling Centre Site Operative on our South Woodham Ferrers site. This is a full time position and will involve working Thursdays through to Mondays.

As a Recycling Centre Site Operative, your responsibilities will include but not limited to
- Assist the public with any questions, queries or complaints.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Contribute to safe and efficient site operations.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and risk-free site.
- Overseeing waste movements.
- Assist in providing clear instructions to subcontractors / hauliers.
- Ensure proper storage of materials for optimal recycling.
- Administrative tasks to support with processes, paperwork, compliance processes, quality assurance and other related documentation using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
The ideal candidate would be.
- Qualified to minimum GCSE level (or equivalent by experience) in English and Maths or NVQ level.
- Computer literate (especially Microsoft Excel and Outlook) with good administration skills.
- General good health, able to work on foot for lengthy periods of time.
- IOSH Working Safely or equivalent safety accreditation is desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge and knowledge of correct manual handling is desirable.
- Desirable: NPORS or similar Plant Operators Licence/Qualification on Material Handler, with previous experience operating plant machinery preferably within the waste industry.

Please note that the job role requires you to be mobile throughout an operational area. Therefore, the post holder will need to have a driving licence and access to a vehicle, or the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means.
