We are now seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to join our team and take our kitchen operations to the next level.
Job Description: As the Head Chef at Fat Rooster, you will be the driving force behind our kitchen, leading a team to create mouth-watering peri peri dishes and gourmet burgers that exceed our customers' expectations. Your role will involve overseeing all kitchen activities, from menu creation to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, manage, and inspire the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food consistently.
* Develop and innovate menus with a focus on flame-grilled peri peri and gourmet burgers.
* Ensure strict compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, including HACCP.
* Oversee inventory management, ordering, and stock control to ensure cost-effectiveness.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.
* Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth and timely service.
* Monitor kitchen performance, including cost control and waste reduction, to achieve financial targets.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment, preferably with experience in grilling and gourmet burger preparation.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Creativity and passion for developing new and exciting dishes.
* Comprehensive understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
* A commitment to maintaining the high standards that Fat Rooster is known for.
Eligibility Requirements:
