It’s an expansive portfolio that includes Planning & Development, Housing, Waste & Recycling, Transport, Street scene and Property (and more), and will see you lead a workforce of approximately 3,500. Make no mistake, this is a complex and high-profile role.
It will suit a strategic thinker, who can play a lead part in the development and regeneration of the city. It’s also essential that you understand the dynamics and complexity of frontline, operational services and that you can operate at scale, while ensuring that the right structures and systems are in place to get the detail right. We expect that you will have a professional background in a place-based service, but it will be your leadership skills and capacity to work across such a diverse service portfolio that identify you as being right for this role.
