Join us as an Algorithmic and eTrading Project Manager
- We’re looking for someone with a commercial and strategic mindset to advise business leads to continually refine our operating model for electronic trading
- You’ll be running and improving our three electronic trading control life cycles; algorithm, automated control, and electronic platform

What you'll do
This role will see you providing electronic trading risk expertise to enhance our global risk and control framework. We’ll look to you to review and assess our adherence to the relevant electronic trading policies, and assist with administering the electronic trading governance structure.
Your other key responsibilities will include:
- Making sure we comply to Significant Harm Function Algorithmic Trading under IAR (SHF9)
- Investigating and responding to electronic trading risk issues, internal reviews and regulatory inquiries
- Delivering regulatory remediation in the electronic trading space
- Identifying and mitigating non-market risks inherent in the electronic trading businesses
- Collaborating with business risk managers to deliver the risk and control agenda for the business
The skills you'll need
To succeed in this role, you’ll need operational experience in an electronic trading business together with knowledge of financial services businesses, including investment banking. We’d also like you to hold a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics degree, or appropriate analytical qualifications.
It's crucial that you have experience of leading change projects within a capital markets or investment banking front office environment, and managing change projects with large technology requirements.
You’ll also need:
- Knowledge of algorithmic trading regulations and risk management across both trading and operational risk
- The ability to design and deliver project plans to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
- A proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with trading, technology and risk functions
- Leadership experience and the ability to develop less experienced team members
- Knowledge of financial services risk and control at different levels of an organisation
