Summary
Red Recruitment 24:7 are working on behalf of our fabulous client in Scunthorpe as they seek a Raw Materials Officer to be based in their food manufacturing site within the Technical Department.
This is a full time, permanent position. Working Monday to Friday.
The role:
Maintenance of approved raw material and supply chain list.
Management of live specifications database for all raw materials and packaging.
Refresh, review and sign off all raw material and packaging specifications.
Risk assessment of new materials and supply chains, once approved via the NPD process and interim assessment by Raw Materials Assurance Manager.
Establishing intake acceptance criteria for raw materials.
Maintaining raw material micro/compositional analysis schedule, review results, corrective action to out of specification results.
Raw material replacement assessments – compliance with customer specification, policies, and standards.
Advising on raw material shelf-life extension system daily actions.
Participating in assessments to maintain legality, safety, quality, and authenticity.
About you:
Demonstrable relevant experience of working quality role with food manufacturing.
Detailed knowledge of a range of raw materials, food manufacturing processes and able to demonstrate a good understanding of fundamentals.
Knowledge of food legislation, BRCGS and customer requirements.
Understanding of food defence and its interaction within raw materials, potential to be a key contributor to this program.
Ability to work with IT packages including Windows 365, ERP- i.e. Sanderson Unity, Customer Platforms
Salary: up to £37,000.00 per year
