Summary
Job Title: Furnaceman
Location:West Midlands, West Midlands, Stourbridge
Job Type:Contract, expected to work full-time hours with overtime paid for any hours completed after 40 at enhanced rates. This role will also require the sucsessful candidate to be able to morning shifts from 05:00-14:00
Primary Industry:Manufacturing and Production
Job Duties:The Furnaceman is responsible for operating and maintaining furnaces used in the manufacturing process. Duties include monitoring furnace temperature and pressure, adjusting controls to ensure proper heating, loading and unloading materials, performing regular maintenance on equipment, and adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Required Qualifications:Previous experience working with industrial furnaces.
Experience of working within a Foundry enviroment and understanding the procress.
Must have skills of Melting on electric furnaces
Experience:Minimum of 2 years of experience in furnace operation
Knowledge and Skills:Understanding of furnace operation principles, ability to interpret technical manuals, good mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and commitment to workplace safety
Preferred Qualifications:FLT Certification
OHC license
Working Conditions:The Furnaceman will work in a manufacturing environment, exposed to high temperatures and loud noises. Personal protective equipment is required at all times.
