A exciting opportunity has arisen in the North Tyneside Talking Therapies for Trainee High Intensity CBT therapists, to provide excellent, high quality and time limited CBT in accordance with NICE guidelines.
This training post will equip the post holder to provide a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) service to clients with a range of complex problems for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective. The post holder will attend all taught and self-study days required by the education provider, as specified within the national low intensity curriculum and work in the service for the remaining days of the week using their newly developed skills.
The PgD CBT course starts in October 2024 at Newcastle University and the applicant must be able to start at agreed date.

This post falls within the provisions of Agenda for Change Annex 20 - Development of Professional Roles, whereby upon completion of an agreed set of competencies you may move onto the next pay band without the need for an application for a post at a higher level.

Completion of all requirements as set by the education provider for the High Intensity Training Programme.
Providing clinical intervention in the form of CBT to clients experiencing common mental health disorders.
Accurate recording and processing of patient information and data in line with NHS Information Governance policies and procedures.
Applicants who have a registered core profession will be considered for shortlisting along with those who are currently a PWP with two years post qualification experience and can produce a completed KSA portfolio at interview.

This is a training role withinthe national NHS Talking Therapies for anxiety and depression programme.
The post-holder will work within the North Tyneside Talking Therapies service providing high intensity interventions whilst undertaking a programme of training for this role.
