Summary
The Cadet Forces together are some of the UK’s oldest and largest youth organisations. Over the past 160 years, we have helped young people gain new and positive life-skills that have helped them to succeed in a wide range of career paths. We can only achieve this through the dedication of our volunteers, who come from many backgrounds and careers, but all give their time to help the current generation of young people to succeed.
We will expect the role holder to work closely with other MoD Cadets organisations and partners to identify and share lessons and good practice in administering adult volunteers and cadets, and in incorporating these into CCF policies and regulations where appropriate.
We see the role holder engaging with staff in the MOD, single Service Cadets Teams and the Army's Regional HQ teams to provide subject matter leader direction and advice on CCF policy, regulations and practices. This includes supporting the wider Cadets Branch team by ensuring adult volunteers and cadets are at the heart of everything the CCF plans and delivers.
The role holder also plays a key role in supporting the CCF Team in delivering the goals and aspirations of the Cadet Expansion Programme as it seeks to grow the number of cadets in schools to around 60,000.
