An exciting opportunity has risen for a Band 3 receptionist to join Queen Mary's hospital Surgical Treatment Centre/Day Surgery Unit at St Georges Hospital.

This post is full time working 37.5 hours Monday- Friday working a shift pattern of 0700-1500 or 1100-1900.

The position is for2xReceptionists to join our team.

The position is for flexible working and you may be required to cross cover at St Georges hospital.

As a front line member of staff you will often be the first point of contact for patients or professionals contacting the department and therefore it is extremely important that you have the skills and experience required in dealing with telephones enquiries bookings and day to day reception duties. Previous experience of reception work is desired but not essential.

A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate effective communication skills both written and verbal, use initiate and hold good IT and team working skills.

You will be able to work independently using your own initiative while maintaining your role as a strong team player. You will have excellent telephone and IT skills.

Full training will be provided.

Flexibility and availability to work morning, afternoon and evening hours is essential.

A large number of services, such as cardiothoracic medicine and surgery, neurosciences and renal transplantation, also cover significant populations from Surrey and Sussex, totalling around 3.5 million people.

The trust also provides care for patients from a larger catchment area in southeast England, for specialties such as complex pelvic trauma. Other services treat patients from all over the country, such as family HIV care and bone marrow transplantation for non-cancer diseases. The trust also provides a nationwide state-of-the-art endoscopy training centre.
