Summary

Main Purpose of Role:

The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day running of the Police Officer transactional Recruitment team. They will plan, organise and oversee human recruitment processes and activities; ensuring resources are used effectively to achieve performance targets and service level agreements, delivering an efficient, professional and customer focused service.

The candidate will be able to problem solve whilst building and maintaining collaborative, professional partnership links with colleagues, managers and other key stakeholders both internally and externally to deliver efficient recruitment transactional processes.

The environment is vibrant within the Human Resources office based at Force Headquarters in the newly built Rufford Building. The site boasts access to a newly refurbished gym and canteen. There are also numerous walks within the woodland area of the site and Burnstump Country park is on your doorstep.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

Understanding of office management systems including Microsoft Office IT packages with proven experience of maintaining human resource systems.

Strong accuracy, time management and organisational skills are a requirement as is the ability to direct and delegate tasks to teams in order to achieve SLA's.

Ability to challenge poor performance and praise where appropriate is a key part of this role.

Knowledge & experience of relevant human resource policy, practices and employment law and service standards is preferred.

Good interpersonal and relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders, colleagues, customers and suppliers is a must.

Vetting Level -Recruitment- you must have resided in the UK for at least the last 3 years
