Job Purpose:
To work in the College’s Study Hubs, as part of a team providing guidance and support to find the best sources of information and to develop students’ independent learning and research skills. To develop and facilitate workshops that support student’s development of study skills. Research alternative technologies and social media to support teaching and learning across the College.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. To show high standards of customer care, maintaining the Study Hubs as welcoming environments and signposting students to other College services as required e.g. Student Hub; Learning Support
2. To support the Study Hub Supervisor in liaison with tutors to support the curriculum and acquire appropriate learning resources; to ensure Study Hub resources and services are appropriate to their needs and enhance the students’ learning experience; match a variety of individual learning styles and are accessible to all students; to liaise with tutors to support students on specific learning projects
3. To help students make best use of ILT facilities and applications; including hardware; software and multi-functional devices and to liaise with ICT Services to ensure reporting of faults resulting in smooth running of IT
4. To support the development of students’ e-learning skills to improve their levels of achievement through the adoption of emerging and developing technologies and social media

• To carry out all duties in accordance with the College’s Health and Safety, Safeguarding & Equality & Diversity policies and procedures, practices and procedures.
• To carry out any other duties as directed by your Line Manager.
