The Quality Consultant role requires the person to have exceptional people skills and an ability to manage complex issues with a case load of no less than 100 commercial organisations. The role holder will be required to make difficult decisions that will not always favour the business based on their conformance to the scheme rules and could from time-to-time adversely affect the commercial organisation

Management of a case load of Training Providers, Colleges, Manufacturers and Employers known as the ‘Training Provider Network’ to implement CITB’s quality assurance strategy that enables construction industry employers to trust the quality and robustness of training delivered by CITB’s Training Provider Network for all products in the CITB offer, by.

1. Contribute to the design and delivery of the quality assurance strategy and the identification of high-risk companies in the ‘Training Provider Network’ to reduce the risk of non-conformance, malpractice, maladministration and fraud through the implementation of the strategy within own area of authority and case load.

2. Manage a case load of training providers to deliver the audit planning process, auditing, reporting and managing non-conformances with each centre and in line with the quality assurance strategy.

3. Support the on boarding process, approval of training organisations to CITB’s ‘Training Provider Network’ and assist organisations to increase their training provision by approving additional schemes in line with CITB’s quality assurance requirements.

4. Plan and conduct sampling activities of assessment, training, and testing sufficient to meet the quality assurance strategy that gives an assurance to construction employers of the centres training delivery and their reliable achievements

5. Carry out due diligence, interviews, approval, and review of all, trainer, tester, assessor applications in line with the scheme requirements and quality assurance strategy within case load.

6. Communicate and deliver feedback at the appropriate level to key centre staff and management that contributes to a robust quality assurance programme and recommending the level of action for non-compliant centres as well as taking the appropriate actions.

7. Produce clear written reports in plain English for customers and employers with clear guidance and feedback for CITB products.

8. Actively share good and poor practice during standardisation team meetings with colleagues, through training webinars and forums with customers to continuously improve the levels of assurance in CITB’s ‘Training Provider Network’.
