Summary
Our client based on the outskirts of Keighley is looking to recruit a CNC Machinist on a temporary to permanent basis.
Responsible to: Tool Room Manager/Team Leader
Internal contacts: Contact with Managers and all personal throughout the company
Job purpose: To program, set and run CNC Lathe and milling machine to a high standard for production tooling and plant requirements.
Main Duties:
• Conversant with CNC turning and milling machines to be able to program, set and run.
• Preferably conversant with Mastercam software (internal and external training to be
• provided).
• Demonstrate the ability to pass on instructions and training to other personnel within the
• department.
• Participation in projects and improvement groups within the company when required.
• Work as part of a team but also on your own.
Qualifications:
• GCSE or equivalent.
Personal Attributes:
• Self-motivated
• Able to make decisions
• Able to communicate well at all levels
• Promote good housekeeping throughout the facility and their own working area
• Attention to details is paramount, exposure to key business customers with a “Right First
• Time” approach
• Must be well presented at all times
Knowledge and Skills:
• Computing skills (Microsoft excel and word)
• Preferably conversant with Mastercam software (internal and external training to be provided)
• Good interpersonal communication skills at all levels
• Ability to work on own or within a team environment.
Hours of work – 7.30am till 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 7.30am till 11.30am Friday
Rate of pay - £15.85 per hour
