What you will be doing:

• You will carry out stock condition and investment surveys to Elim’s homes and properties to ensure that the data we hold on our homes is accurate, up to date, and able to help us manage our responsibilities in line with the Decent Homes Standard (DHS) and Welsh Quality Standard (WQS)
• Carrying out Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) Assessments as part of each stock condition survey undertaken.
• Accurately recording all data collected during the stock condition survey, ensuring that that any works resulting from SCS or HHSRS failures are raised for prompt attention by Elim
• Assisting the Asset Surveyor to meet consistent standards for the collection and reporting of asset data, ensuring that stock condition information is well managed and validated in line with business need.

What you will need to be successful:

• Experience of undertaking stock condition surveys (SCS) and the relevant knowledge to identify and report on asset criteria in line with the Decent Homes Standard (DHS) Welsh Housing Standard (WQS)
• Technical competence in identifying property failures
• An ability to communicate effectively with customers whilst making arrangements for access and working in their homes.
• A relevant building or construction related qualification at level ‘ONC’ or above, or the ability to demonstrate significant experience of working in a property-focused role in a social housing environment
