As the Asset Recovery Manager for Humberside Police, you will disrupt serious and complex organised criminality, mitigating the threat, risk and harm. The Asset Recovery Manager is the lead of a specialised function, with the responsibility for managing and developing Asset Recovery within the force, to inform decision making and ensuring all strategic and tactical options are utilised, ensuring the provision of an effective and comprehensive service in all aspects of asset denial and recovery under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

It will be your Responsibility to manage investigative and operational performance and productivity within the Asset Recovery Investigation Unit (ARIU), making the most effective and efficient use of resources to meet demands and optimise service delivery.



You will have conduct of, and oversee, highly complex, bespoke and specialist investigations utilising all aspects of the POCA accreditation under Parts 2, 5 and 8 of POCA. Ensuring that statements are written to the relevant standard and information is presented at court in a clear and comprehensible manner in both the Magistrates and Crown Courts. You will be experienced in using judgements as to whether assets should be confiscated or restrained to preserve the evidence based on accurate information gained through investigations.

The successful candidate must have comprehensive experience of utilising the powers under POCA, conducting civil recovery, confiscation and money laundering investigations, and have obtained the National Crime Agency (NCA) Proceeds of Crime Centre Financial Restraint and Confiscators Course.

This a demanding role and so the post holder must be self-motivated and well organised somethings working to tight deadlines. You will be expected to attend Court on a regular basis and give evidence. You will have conduct of a large and diverse caseload.

As the role will involve attending other locations you will be required to travel and work flexibly for business purposes and to suit business needs, which may include working outside of normal hours. You must hold a full UK Driving Licence.
