We supply and maintain a range of mobility equipment to help clients stay independent for longer in their own homes. With extensive experience in the field, we are specialists in the provision of hoisting systems (ceiling track,) and our stairlift and large lift operations are rapidly expanding. The business continues to develop in all areas, and we have recently been successful in securing further contract work within Gloucestershire (Installation, Service and Repair of Ceiling Track Hoists.)
About the role
We are offering a new Ceiling Track Hoist Service Engineer the opportunity to be based in Gloucestershire, in a rewarding role, as part of our committed team. The role will include servicing, maintaining and repairing equipment in service users’ homes, schools, nursing homes and in the company workshop. You will be well supported, and training and development opportunities will be ongoing.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Routine servicing across a variety of sites
• Load testing of hoisting equipment, which will involve some lifting
• Diagnosis of faults and undertaking repairs
• Working in line with company values, providing a person-centred service
• Completing risk assessments and electronic reports
• Liaising closely with company office staff and service users
• Effective, professional interaction with service users and members of the community
• Participation in on call rota, covering out of hours call outs (evenings/weekends.)
We are looking for
• Service and maintenance experience within the field, or within a similar field
• An electro-mechanical aptitude and enjoyment of fault finding
• A work ethic and values which closely match those of the company
• A flexible approach, together with a willingness to share experience and to learn
• High levels of organisation and attention to detail
• Applicants based in Gloucestershire – we are looking to recruit a locally based candidate.
To undertake the work, you will need to hold a full UK driving license and should also be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check which will be organised by the company.
Applicants without experience, looking to join the industry, are also welcome to apply. Start salary would then depend on experience.
