Our client, is a multi disciplinary consultancy involved in a wide range of building services. They are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent or contract basis depending on the requirements of the candidate.
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role will offer an opportunity to provide mechanical design services on a wide range of projects within the building services industry which will include working for a large multi-national company.
About the Senior Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer
The Senior Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer will support projects from initial feasibility through design, construction, commissioning and validation with direct interaction with the end client.
Key responsibilities will include:
Receiving and understanding the requirements of the design task
Understanding the brief and the client's requirements
Undertaking design calculations
Preparing designs, specifications, schedules and tender documentation
Helping to produce budget estimates
Developing design proposals at sketch, detail design and production stages
Preparing reports and undertaking site surveys
About You
The Senior Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer will be highly experienced and comfortable working on a range of projects in the building services sectors.
Other requirements include:
A HND or Degree relevant to Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
At least 5 years’ experience post-graduation in a design environment
Proficient in the use of Hevacomp, IES and Trimble
Good people management skills with a developing commercial edge
Preferably have some experience of working in a process/pharmaceutical environment, but this is not essential.
