About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Paver for our growing team. The primary responsibility of the Paver is to install and repair pavements, driveways, walkways, and other outdoor surfaces using various techniques and materials. You will be working Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00, 40 hours per week, on a permanent, full-time basis. Key Responsibilities:- Prepare surfaces for paving by removing debris, grading, levelling, and compacting.
- Read and interpret, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and pattern of pavements.
- Install and repair pavements using a range of techniques and materials, including asphalt, concrete, brick, and stone.
- Cut and shape paving materials using hand and power tools as necessary.
- Apply finishing touches to paved surfaces, such as seal coats and joint compounds.
- Maintain paving equipment and tools in good condition, reporting any defects or malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in paving and pavement repair.
- Understanding of pavement construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret, drawings, and specifications.
- Good physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
