A Vacancy at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.


We have a great opportunity to join our Clinical Practice Group (CPG) Programme as the CPG Information Officer for 12 months fixed term, full time (37.5 hours per week), 9.00 am to 5.00 pm - Monday to Friday.

West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (WHTH) and The Royal Free Group are jointly engaged in an exciting programme to improve quality for patients through a CPG programme.

The CPG Programme at WHTH is currently implementing 23 clinical care pathways.

You will work with the CPG programme manager/lead, the CPG Information Analyst, CPG finance Officer and CPG Pathway teams in the Trust to ensure the provision of all necessary data for the CPG Pathways.

Your role will be to support accurate data collection, analysis and developing local databases with specific focus on improving data quality for the CPG pathways.

You should have experience working with medical records, health information systems and of data analysis using Excel.

First stage of the interview process will be an Excel based task.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person who is flexible, with excellent communication and organisation skills. You must have the ability to concentrate on detailed information, be diligent in accurate data collection and to work independently.

You will support the CPG team with data collection, developing validated spreadsheets, maintaining accurate databases, producing monthly reports and developing and maintaining appropriate analytical solutions for the CPG pathways.

You will have an opportunity to learn about Quality Improvement (QI) methodology, audits, data analysis, production of Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts and undertaking patient co-design by supporting CPG programme work.

Success in the post relies on experience in working with complex data sets, proficiency in MS Excel with attention to detail and accuracy.

Develop validated spreadsheets with CPG Programme Manager and Senior Information Analyst for data collection for CPG pathways.

Collect data for all CPG pathways from information systems within the Trust.

Maintain timely and accurate database for each CPG pathways.

Develop appropriate analytical solutions to meet the needs of CPG programme.

Support the Senior Information Analyst with the analysis and production and update of Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts.

Produce monthly reports for CPG pathways.

Support the Senior Information Analyst and CPG programme Manager in raising awareness of importance of health information analysis and data quality.
