Position: Full-Time Electrician
A well-established Suffolk-based electrical contracting firm is seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working electrician to join its growing team. With over a decade of experience in the industry, the company specialises in electrical control system engineering while also offering comprehensive installation and maintenance services.
Location: Near Bungay, Suffolk
Role Overview: The successful candidate will become a vital part of a small, dedicated team, working in fast-paced and demanding environments. This role offers the potential for significant rewards and professional growth.
Responsibilities:
• Perform on-site electrical installations across the UK and Ireland.
• Assemble metallic perforated tray and ladder containment systems.
• Install various types of cables, including SWA, SY, 6491X, AWA, Beldon, and BS5308.
• Conduct cable glanding and terminations.
• Install control panels and LV switchboards according to control schematics.
• Carry out inspection and testing of electrical systems.
• Assist with breakdowns and participate in a call-out rota.
Job Duties:
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in compliance with statutory and legal requirements.
• Run tests on electrical components to ensure safe and effective installations.
• Inspect electrical systems and equipment for damage, malfunctions, and safety hazards.
• Provide professional assessments and advice to customers.
• Perform additional duties as requested.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the electrical field (preferred).
• Willingness to work away from home, with all accommodation expenses covered by the company.
