The Elective Orthopaedic Nurse Practitioner Team is at the forefront of evidence based care, clinical practice and academic research. As a band 5 Elective Orthopaedic Nurse Practitioner Associate you will be expected to help the band 6 Nurse Practitioner manage their caseload, and communicate with the MDT and wider specialist teams. The successful candidate will participate in providing care to optimise patients for surgery and support patients through their journey on the pathway from pre-operative care, to post-operative care and discharge.

We are proud of the work our team does and encourage project work that enhances the patient pathway. We are dedicated to provide development and support to anyone joining our team.
The main duty of the Elective Orthopaedic Nurse Practitioners Associate is to support the band 6 Nurse Practitioner with their case load. This will be the complex elective orthopaedic patients who will have a few co-morbidities which may need optimisation pre-surgery.
