Summary
We are recruiting for an Orthopaedic Practitioner for our Fracture Outpatients Clinic who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

In the absence of a qualified Orthopaedic Practitioner being successful at interview, we will consider taking on a trainee in a developmental role. As part of the interview we will ask for a clinical demonstration of a basic cast application. If successful, the trainee would work under the supervision of our Orthopaedic Practitioner Lead as a band 4.
The Trainee would be trained in house for the minimum of 1 year. Once ready, the trainee would be sent on a 5 week course to complete the British Casting Certificate (BCC).
On completion of the full course, a PIN will be presented; moving the trainee to a band 5 position.

As a member of the Trauma and Orthopaedic team, you will have various opportunities in developing your skills and knowledge in the Outpatient Department.
You will become an essential part in providing a high standard of research based patient care.
You will be providing support to the team of staff in delivering a quality service that is linked to high standard of patient care.
This is an opportunity to undertake any appropriate training required to support the ongoing training and development. You will also have an opportunity to develop own personal development plans, in line with local /Trust objectives and in conjunction with your annual appraisal.
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care needs of patients attending the Fracture clinic, with the involvement of patient’s and their relatives/carers.
Communicate effectively and work in partnership with patients, the Multidisciplinary Team and all other relevant personnel.
