An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced dermatology nurse to join the Dermatology Department at the Royal London Hospital as a Skin Cancer CNS.The successful candidate must be a clinical expert in skin cancer with excellent communication skills. The role requires the ability to work autonomously and independently but within an integrated collaborative team.Youwill continually develop, implement and evaluate the skin cancer service to improve and maintain standards of patient care and promote a seamless service within a multi-disciplinary team framework.In return we offer excellent opportunities for your own professional development and the opportunity to work with a dynamic multidisciplinary team.

1. To work as an advance practitioner to effectively deliver an expert nursing service, primarily for Non-Melanoma Skin Cancer (NMSC), early melanoma and rare skin cancer patients. To ensure this caseload of patients and their families are fully informed and supported by providing clinical and social support. To assist in the development of evidence-based clinical nursing practice in line with current research and guideline, and to establish clear lines of communication to ensure cohesive multidisciplinary management of patient.

2. Provide specialist skin cancer nursing advice Trust wide to support and facilitate high quality, individualised care to patients /clients and relatives/carers in collaboration with the multi professional team, working especially closely with the other Skin Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS), the Senior Nurse and the Lead Consultant Dermatologist for Skin Cancer.

3. Provide leadership and support to junior nusing members of the Skin Cancer Team.

4. To undertake a diverse range of roles, including nurse-led services, and be able to work according to local/national guidance and protocols, and work autonomously to coordinate, develop and deliver comprehensive care and services to patients.

5. At all times ensure that the needs of the patients are placed at the centre of care delivery.

6. To ensure an efficient and well-informed pathway of care for patients in line with local and national cancer performance targets.
