The starting salary for this position is £32,512 per annum based on a 36-hour working week.

We are looking for a Team Leader to join our Move To Independence low to moderate level supported living based across Surrey within Mental Health in Adult Social Care.

About the Team Move to Independence (MTI) is a supported housing project managed by SCC and supported by housing providers. The aim is to accommodate people with significant mental health issues who require this level of support who have local housing connections. This service aims to support people to identify goals in a strengths-based way to meet their needs with their support plans to maximise independence and recovery. The aim is that tenants live in the accommodation for up to 2 years, which can be longer in some cases, and the person is supported to move onto fully independent accommodation (a place to call home) with a package of care if needed. About the Role In this role you will be required to coordinate the Move To Independence Team within a geographical area (the Western half of Surrey), to deliver a high-quality service to promote prevention and recovery in a strengths-based approach. This is a flexible role with cover expected across differing houses in Surrey and there is a limited-on call requirement. You will be required to support service users, supervise a small team in supporting service users to achieve their support plan goals, to maximise independence and recovery from mental health/substance misuse. This includes co-ordinating and supervising the work of the small team, including allocations of referrals, assessments, reviews and covering absences when necessary to ensure continuity of service delivery. This role will suit someone with experience and interest in working with people who have mental health needs to support recovery in supported living, and who can work flexibly and independently across a geographical area to support staff.   • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office packages and Internet
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and respond flexibly to changing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience in completing assessments, support plans and risk assessments
  • Experience of working with people who have mental health needs.
Surrey has both urban and rural areas and locality based social care workers will be expected to have a valid driving licence to drive in the UK and access to a vehicle and be willing to travel across a wide geographical area.
