Peacock Medicare are looking to recruit enthusiastic Senior Care Assistants at their Nursing Home based in Livingston for night duty. Peacock Medicare have provided 30 years of quality care to residents living with life limiting conditions such a stroke, dementia, diabetes etc, within a friendly cheerful environment.
Applicants should be dedicated to providing a quality service to older people thus enabling them to live as independently as possible within a Care Home setting. Management at both our Homes endeavour to provide as much support as possible to our employees so that they can in turn provide our resident’s with all their daily requirements. Duties involve assisting and involving residents with all aspects of physical and social care. An essential part of the work involves communicating with our older client group therefore excellent communication skills are essential.
An SVQ III in Health and Social Care is required for this post however support can be given to employees to achieve this award. Our training is well recognised across West Lothian and employees that work with us are well regarded across the community.
Successful applicants will be required to provide a Protection of Vulnerable Adults Certificate and references from a present/past employer and also to apply for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council as a Practitioner in a care home.
