Job Description:
Working as part of a team the main role includes providing care and safe transport for patients in a both Emergency and Non-Emergency Situations. Working primarily on our High Dependency Service but also helping support other departments within the organisation. On a rota based service typically early or lates you will be allocated to a shift relevant to the grade e.g HDU, Event Cover, Training.
This advert is for qualified applications who hold a valid in date medical certificate.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responding to both Non Emergency and Emergency Calls
• Transferring patients between Hospitals or medical facility.
• Comply with Road Safey Regulations exercising the safe use of the road traffic exemptions in emergency driving.
• Assist Patients up and down stairs using carrying equipment when required.
• Carry our Daily inspection on the Ambulance, ensuring the vehicle is stocked and in full working condition for the shift.
• Complete relevant paperwork or via PDA when required.
• Ensure Ambulance is kept clean in accordance with infection control.
• Ensure patient centric care is always given. Treating each patient with wholesome care and dignity
Qualifications:
• Full Training is provided.
• Good Communication skills
• Valid Certificate for grade applying e.g IHCD Technician, FREC Pathway, ECA
Requirements:
• Must hold a full UK Driving License for over three years
• Must be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS
• Be able to lift when required (Training and Equipment provided)
• This role involves working shifts that can include, early, lates, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
