Based at National Centre Inverclyde, Largs, KA30 8RW
sportscotland is the national agency for sport in Scotland. Our vision is an active Scotland where everyone benefits from sport. Our goal is to be inclusive by design.
Inverclyde National Sports Training Centre has been inspiring sportspeople for more than 60 years. It is the first UK residential sports centre of its kind – designed for inclusivity.
Do you have operational management experience within a large leisure centre or hotel environment and looking for your next challenge? If so, this could be the role for you!
sportscotland is currently looking for a Guest Support Manager who will be the main point of contact for the operational management of the centre and support the delivery of its key service priorities.
You should have experience in supervising and managing all resources (physical and human) within a large multi-sports leisure centre, or a large residential/outdoor centre. National Centre Inverclyde has guests ranging from the local community through to elite athletes so you should have good knowledge of a broad range of user groups and their potential requirements.
As the main point of contact you will work closely with client group leads ensuring their experience of the centre is positive. You will also monitor the standards of the centre ensuring it is clean and presentable at all times, working with colleagues and contractors to address any areas of concern, so you should be able to effectively communicate with a variety of different stakeholders.
Working with the other Guest Support Managers, you will implement and monitor staff rotas to ensure work allocation and shift cover over 7 days including evenings and weekends. Due to the nature of the role, you will also be expected to cover weekend and evening shifts, including bank holidays to cover this rota.
In return for the above, we offer employee benefits such as flexible working, generous holidays, Cycle2Work, fantastic discounts, a great pension scheme, support with your professional development and much more.
Please apply online and attach your CV and covering letter detailing why you meet the requirements.
At sportscotland inclusion underpins everything we do. If you've got the right skills for the job, we want to hear from you. We encourage applications from the right candidates regardless of: age, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, belief, race, caring responsibilities, care experience or social background.
We are a Disability Confident employer. If you have any difficulties with your application because of a disability please contact hr.recruitment@sportscotland.org.uk and we will discuss how we can help you.
