Walsingham Support is going through an exciting period of change with several new people joining the leadership team bringing a renewed sense of energy to the organisation.
o Learning and Development Manager will join a newly appointed Head of Learning and Development and will provide critical support in the transformation process.
o We have a widely distributed workforce with a range of skills and capabilities required to deliver excellent support and care to the People we Support.
o Learning and Development Manager will support us in developing and delivering core training and ad hoc development sessions to ensure that we can deliver outstanding standards of care while providing accessible career pathways for our team members.
o Building on our existing capability we are looking to drive continuous improvement and excellence in our standards through our learning and development offering.
o While there are several challenges, there is a great opportunity to work within a small but influential team to impact on all of our staff, volunteers and the people we support.
o This is a chance to use your expertise and experience to support the development of an organisational learning culture and help to make Walsingham Support a great place to work.

LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
o
KEY DELIVERABLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
o The role holder will design, deliver and facilitate a range of L&D interventions across all areas of Walsingham Support.
o Focusing on areas such as mandatory and contractual training requirements, leadership development, embedding values and behaviours and upskilling on core skills the role holder will be helping to ensure that we have robust and effective learning frameworks in place to ensure effective delivery of services.
LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
They will also be working to develop softer skills and values across the organisation and help drive our cultural development.
o - Assess both individual, departmental and organisational learning and development needs.
o - Identify skills gaps and future learning requirements and working with managers across the organisation develop departmental training plans
o - Analyse data from appraisals and employee surveys to identify training requirements and liaise with senior management to prioritise.
o - Manage elements of the L&D budget and advise on the ways of improving training effectiveness and reducing costs where possible.
o - Curate learning content in particular within the Learning Management System and assess relevant learning and development options.
o - Consider the relevance of blended learning options such as coaching, mentoring, on-the-job training, classroom training, e-learning and stretch assignments. Make recommendations to decision-makers.
o - Manage the induction programme to ensure early and ongoing engagement with the organisation and to support an ethos of continuous learning.
o - Deliver learning and development strategies and foster a learning culture within the organisation, promoting continuous development and lifelong learning.
o - Develop and maintain learning and development policy
o - Line manage the L&D administrator and co-ordinate the logistics of training sessions.
o - Support the development of apprenticeship programmes to maximise the use of apprenticeship levy and creation of career pathways
o - Identify and work with external training partners where expertise or capacity requires external support.
o - Evaluate success of learning interventions including ROI and report to senior management on L&D key performance indicators.
o - Keep abreast of latest learning and development products and approaches.
o - Update senior management and decision-makers on latest thinking.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND EDUCATION - LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
o - Appropriate professional qualifications, e.g. CIPD level 5 or equivalent.
o - Ability to conduct comprehensive analysis of training needs to identify skills gaps and training needs across the organisation.
o - Extensive experience designing and delivering engaging and interactive training courses and workshops, utilising a variety of instructional techniques.
o - Experience working with and curating content within Learning Management Systems.
o - Experience in the establishment of metrics and evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness of learning programs.
o - Experience working in a Social Care/Disability, regulated industry or Charity setting would be desirable.
o - Significant experience leading workshops, seminars and training events, having an engaging and inspirational style.
o - Working knowledge of L&D best practices, tools, and methodologies with a good understanding of emerging trends and technologies
o - Experience leveraging digital tools to drive measurable benefits.
o - Expertise in the use of virtual learning and successful incorporation into learning programmes.
o - Strong interpersonal and communication skills and experience working with various stakeholders, both internal and external.
