Pay Rate: £12ph
Hours: 06:30 - 11:00 and / or 16:30 - 22:00
Shifts: 4 on / 2off (2 earlies, 2 lates, 2 off)
The role of the Aviation Security Officers will involve carrying out security procedures for an operation at Gatwick airport for one of their international airline and ensure all security measures are being followed. You may be required to work with different areas such as the Baggage Handlers, Catering Providers, Customer Care Teams, Cargo Handlers, Check In staff. Please note the job is to observe only and check the work being carried out is being done correctly and to CAA regulations.
Aviation Security Officers will also be responsible for the following: Profiling passengers coming through the airport - ensuring that there is no suspicious behaviour etc Checking serial numbers Checking security seals Performing bag & body checks. Please note: Due to the nature of our business, we are regulated by the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority), therefore it is compulsory for all applicants to provide or be willing to obtain the following: Be willing to apply for a Criminal Record Check (Paid for by us!) Have a full 5-year checkable history (Obtained for you by us!) Be able to provide a full 5-year address history Have an in date and valid Photo ID (Passport, Driving Licence, ID Card etc) Be willing to attend Aviation Security Training Courses Must have resided within the UK during the last 3 years and be willing to complete a Counter Terrorism Check (Paid for and obtained by us!) Must be 18 years of age or older
Benefits & Requirements:
- Hourly rate as above (not age dependent)
- 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)
- 24hr Oncall Support
