This post is for Harefield Hospital Theatres, Hill End Road, Harefield, Uxbridge UB9 6JH.

The post holder will work as part of the Theatre team to provide an efficient support cleaning service inside Theatres between procedures; ensure the staff have access to adequately disinfected water heater cooler machines; maintain appropriate standards of cleanliness in all aspect of the Retrieval store room. This role also involves the daily disinfection ofallocatedwater heater cooler machines at the start of the day, making it available for use by the perfusion department.

Monitoring of cleanliness standards, reporting deficiencies and taking appropriate action to ensure that Theatre rest rooms are maintained/stocked as well.
• The post-holder will be required to manage the cleaning and maintenance of the Retrieval Ice Room.
• The post-holder will be required to enter Theatres 1 to 5 at the conclusion of procedures/between procedures in order to support the team with cleaning.
• The post-holder will be required to regularly oversee the supplies re-stocking, overall tidiness, appearance and cleaning of all the Theatre changing rooms.
• The post-holder will be required to undergo appropriate training initially and regularly for the disinfection of water heater cooler devices.
• The post-holder whilst following the manufacturers IFU and Trust Protocols will perform and document the disinfection of water heater cooler devices.
• The post-holder will support the microbiology sampling of the water heater cooler devices.
• Daily temperature recording of designated heating and cooling equipment.
• The post-holder will adhere to PPE requirements for the role.
• The post-holder is required to understand all aspect of, and the specific requirement for, different cleaning solutions and concentrations.
• Collection, reporting and delivery of cleaning provisions to specific areas.
• Cleaning, tidiness, and waste removal in the Theatre Staff room in the absence of the Theatre Housekeeper.
• Ensure maintenance defect in Theatre rest areas are reported and followed up.
• Ensure that Trust policy for waste disposal is adhered to.
• To abide by the Trust’s core behaviours for all staff and all other Trust policies.

• The post-holder will be required to manage the cleaning and maintenance of the Retrieval Ice Room. Tasks involve but are not limited to the cleaning program associated with the ice boxes. ice maker machine, removal of waste, and regular cleaning of surfaces, floor and sluice. It also include re-stocking of the area and regular microbacterium testing.
• The post-holder will be required to ender Theatres 1 to 5 at the conclusion of procedures/between procedures in order to support the team with cleaning. Cleaning the Theatres between cases involves but is not limited to; cleaning of all surfaces, including operating lights, surface cleaning of theatre equipment, mopping the floor, cleaning of the operating table using the appropriate recommended cleaning agent and waste removal.
• The post-holder will be required to regularly oversee the supplies re-stocking, overall tidiness, appearance and cleaning of all the Theatre changing rooms and associated toilet areas.
• The post-holder will be required to undergo appropriate training initially and regularly for the disinfection of water heater cooler devices.
• The post-holder whilst following the manufacturers IFU and Trust Protocols will perform and document the disinfection of water heater cooler devices.
• The post-holder will support the microbiology sampling of the water heater cooler devices.
• The post-holder will adhere to PPE requirements for the role.
• The post-holder is required to understand all aspect of, and the specific requirement for, different cleaning solutions and concentrations.
• Collection, reporting and delivery of cleaning provisions to specific areas.
• Cleaning, tidiness, and waste removal in the Theatre Staff room in the absence of the Theatre Housekeeper.
