Summary


We are seeking an experienced Personal Assistant to join the Executive Administration Team to provide comprehensive office management and administrative support to the Chief Medical Officer and her Deputy. The post holder will be working in the Trust Office, based at Liverpool Women’s Hospital.

The successful candidate will have significant experience of working in a similar position, ideally within a senior executive office within the NHS or other public sector organisation. Knowledge and experience of corporate governance and regulation is desirable, and a strong track record of office management and diary and committee management. We are seeking a candidate who is a clear and experienced communicator who is passionate about the delivery of high-quality services and has a can-do approach.

This is a busy, demanding yet rewarding role and the post holder will need to have a flexible approach to work, to be able to use their own initiative as well as work effectively as part of the larger team.

The post holder will work as part of a team who provide cover and support for each other to ensure the smooth running of the executive function as a whole.

The successful candidate will have previous experience as a PA and have excellent organisational skills, a high level of competency in using Microsoft Office and the ability to work under pressure, prioritise workloads and work to deadlines. You will be required to work on your own initiative and deal with matters on behalf of those who you support, be an effective decision maker with the ability to work flexibly.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are required, and the post holder will have the ability to liaise with staff within the Trust and with external contacts representing the organisation. The candidate will be required to manage diaries, emails and arrange meetings for those posts supported. Previous experience of agenda preparation and generating minutes for high level meetings is required.
